STUCCO |
|
| Stucco is a fine plaster or cement used as a coating for
walls or for decoration. It may be used to cover less visually appealing
construction materials such as concrete blocks, steel, or adobe. At right
is the common stucco finish you're probably familiar with. A variety
of finishes and colors are currently available to fit your style and
aesthetic preference.
Traditionally an exterior finish, stucco finishes are finding a home
inside in both businesses and residences. |

You can see the difference in
this picture in the look between the original brick and the new stucco. |

Stucco is a fine plaster or cement used as a coating for

Synthetic Stucco was used to create these walls hiding the unsightly air
conditioners on a rooftop. Below, the space now blends in with
building and the environment. See information on Synthetic Stucco. |
Related to stucco, but different is Synthetic Stucco,
also known as EIFS (Energy Insulating Finishing System). As
the name implies, synthetic stucco is made of different materials,
consisting of a base of an insulating foam, coated with covering layers to get the finish, texture or color
you desire.

<<< To get to this chimney, we erected custom scaffold on the
sloped roof. First, we put stucco over the original brick,
then applied durable elastomeric paint. This makes the finish
particularly long-lasting in the extreme temperature changes and weather
exposure of the chimney. We nailed this one. It will
outlast us. |

I'm particularly proud of this
>>>> project, small and simple
though it may be. This shows the versatility of EIFS for many
different uses. A completely new and improved look was created for the
public face of a business. |
